Successful MLM Business

Successful MLM Business

by Dorothy Miller

People have been drawn to multi-level marketing, or 'MLM'
businesses, for many years. MLM businesses can cause an initial
investment to double or even triple.
If you own an MLM producer or distributor, or are thinking
about starting one, you need to know the common mistakes. A
little education now can help your venture keep from becoming
another error-prone MLM business. Here are some key points to
consider that you can help you create and operate a successful
MLM business:
1. Avoid MLM groups that offer commission-based compensation to
distributors. These types of operations are often indicative of
illegal pyramid operations. It has always been standard
day-to-day business practice for MLM groups to entice groups
and individuals to become part of the MLM group. MLM members
will approach these groups or individuals, and explain all the
benefits of their particular organization. However, if the MLM
business offers commission-based payments, they're not likely
to deliver on their promises. While this is not always the
case, care must be taken. You may be guaranteed a job, but who
knows when you'll be paid? A salary or hourly rate is a good
indication of a successful MLM business.
2. A successful MLM business will not offer to pay you for
recruiting more distributors. This is another sure sign of
fraud. To avoid being a victim, be sure that you are working
for compensation only.
3. Stay away from MLM business groups that hold new
distributors responsible for buying expensive products or
materials. This can be another sign of potential danger. There
are pyramid groups that force their new members to pay for
costly merchandise. In these fake pyramid schemes, any money is
good money, regardless of where it comes from. Avoid these
groups at all costs and if you're already in one, get out as
soon as you can.
4. Some distributors fail because they are not willing to
devote enough time or attention to their MLM business. Before
making any commitments, make sure that you're willing to give
it your all. If you want to have a successful MLM business you
need to go in with full confidence and a real desire to
succeed. It will take weeks or even months to start building
your MLM career, so make sure you have the willpower to stick
it out.
5. Be wary if some of the MLM operators take the business
reluctantly. To have a successful MLM business, every member of
the group needs to work hand in hand to accomplish and sustain
the set of objectives. This practice is not just recommended,
it is essential for success. If one person in the group is not
pulling his or her weight, the business will be doomed.
6. Know why you want to operate an MLM business. This is an
important point that's usually overlooked. You'll likely get
into the MLM business without really understanding the
operation. As a result, you'll lake a business plan and one
day, you'll realize that you have not definite target or
objective in your business. From the very inception of your MLM
business, you should always have a clear picture the reasons you
are driving the business. Don't assume that a successful MLM
business will run itself. It's not easy to recover from lost
revenue; the key to success, and profits, is setting your
business objectives.
7. Stay committed. It's not enough to go into your new MLM
business with both guns blazing, certain that you'll be a
shining success. You need to have a well-established commitment
to work and duty. Be committed to your work and believe in your
product. Take the time to pinpoint your MLM business weaknesses
so you can correct any past mistakes and improve your
performance.
Countless business owners have operated a successful MLM
business, and you can too. Knowing exactly what you're getting
into is just the first step to success. Having a plan and
staying committed will take your business all the way to the
top.

Taking The Vampire Out Of Online MLM Business Networking

Taking The Vampire Out Of Online MLM Business Networking

You just got started with a new online MLM business and you
want to tell everyone online about it. So, you sign up for all
kinds of message boards, email groups and other business
networking websites.

Before you do anything, please realize that you are dealing
with REAL PEOPLE. The Internet seems like this anonymous place
where you might feel people won’t really notice you if you
engage in any vampirish behavior, but realize that the Internet
is no different than dealing with people offline.

Treat people with respect, get to know them first and you’ll
have plenty of valuable contacts for your business. No, most
probably won’t join your business opportunity, but they will
teach you a lot about business, will refer others to you and
will be a great asset to your business – even if they never buy
a thing from you.

Some Online Networking No-Nos:

- Sending private messages or emails about your business
opportunity or products to another member is in poor taste. If
you want to contact someone privately because you feel you have
something in common, go for it, but don’t recruit or sell.

- When you introduce yourself on a networking group, it’s
usually okay to say what you do…but don’t invite people to
check out your website or say that you are looking for new
customers or recruits.

- Even if a message board or networking group allows you to
post ads in certain places or on certain days, don’t bother if
you’re new. Get to know the group first and then they’ll be
more interested your offers.

When you have a new business, it can be stressful and you feel
pressure to get results. The important thing to remember is
that results come from building long-term relationships and not
from preying on online networking groups.

Don’t suck the blood out of all your prospects and people who
can connect you with potential prospects before you even get
started.

Teleseminar On Automating Your Network Marketing Recruiting

I just wanted to let everyone know that we haven't completely canceled our planned teleseminar on automating your network marketing business more (and using the tools
afforded by the Intenet). Frank and I have just had trouble coordinating our schedules
... mainly because I've been drawn into a lot of projects lately VERY shortnotice.

We will also be producing a CD product that teaches you how we have built HUGE
downlines in network marketing companies.

Creative Ways Of Promoting Your MLM

As an Internet marketer, one of my mentors taught me that if you can get the customer or subscriber to PAY YOU for getting them onto your list, you're way ahead of the game. He was teaching building an email list.

I adapted his teachings to a nutritional company that I worked with. With this company the lead generator is a free CD by Dr. Joel Wallach, author of the famed dead doctors don't lie.
What I did was offer a free copy of this CD, which I called a special report from a webpage.
I just described all of the things they were going to learn in this very insightful report. The
I offered to send it to them for just the cost of shipping and handling. I charged enough
shipping and handling to cover the cost of the CDs plus the S&H. It worked like magic
and we STILL mail out a lot of CDs as a result of this very simple webpage.

Every CD that goes out, naturally has a flyer in the envelope telling them how they can
avail themselves of this fantastic product or even make a little money selling it. It works
and I have NO out of pocket expenses.

So, tell us about some of your innovative promotion and recruiting methods.

Willie

How Many Different Companies Are You Involved With And Why?

The 13 million or so people involved in MLM seem to just jump from company to company. I don't do that because I don't get involved in anything that doesn't strike me as rock solid AND as something that I know can make money at.

Because I have a mailing list well over 100,000 (email) I do get exposed to a lot of things, and I HAVE joined more than 1 company. That goes against conventional advice. If you're in more that 1 MLM it CAN make it hard for you to maintain proper focus. I promote more than 1 company because they often compliment one another and it's extremely easy for me to promote several using the internet tools that I take advantage of such as ezine ads, writing articles, and using autoresponders.

Part of the recruiting is a numbers game. MOST of the people that I come in contact with aren't appropriate for my team. So, I use the Internet tools to qualify people and locate those who are the right ones. I wrote about using the Internet and using automated tools in a special report that you can snag here: http://4au7a.mastersprg.com This site is a training site that you can get materials written by over 20 people who have had tremendous success building a network marketing business. You do have to subscribe to the series to get the individual manuscripts, but it's free. This site is still under construction, so don't try to use the audio yet.

The thing I have to watch is that I am a very seasoned marketer. I've attended dozens of seminars, owe recordings from $25,000 seminars that master marketers such as Jay Abraham host, and have spent several decades REALLY studying marketing. What I struggle with as I get people to join MLMs beneath me is that I want to make sure that there is a training system in place... and a system for recruiting and growing your business that THEY can do too. Everything that I teach, the average person CAN do. They may not catch on as quickly as I do, but it is duplicatable. You just have to want it bad enough to put in the effort.

So, tell us, what companies you're in and why. While I'm not inviting you to post your ads, you may just get some of our visitors to join you.

Willie

What MLM Are You Involved In And Why? What's So Great About It?

This post is really an open invitation for you to share which company you're associated with and why. It's not an invitation to post a blatant ad. Instead give your well-reasoned thoughts on why someone would benefit from joining your company as opposed to all of the others out there.

Also, share what success you've had with the company. If you haven't actually made any money with the company then the only excuse that I'd consider acceptable is that you just joined... otherwise you're NOT really qualified to tell others that they should join. It's just NOT RIGHT to tell someone to join you in something that's not working for you! That's my opinion but it's a very strong one!

Willie

Teleseminar Postponed, So Let's Just Discuss Network Marketing Here!

Due to schedule conflicts we've had to postpone the teleseminar again. Part of the problem is that we wanted to do 2 2-3 hours teleseminars back to back, so that we could deliver lots of solid, usable content for you. Both Frank's schedule and my schedule are so busy over the next month or so, that we just can't seem to squeeze it in.

Sooo, I thought, why not just discuss a few things right here.

I'll start the threads to keep things focused but certainly invite your comments. If anyone
would like posting priviledges, just email me and volunteer to help moderate things. I'd be
happy to set up 1 or 2 people as moderators :-)
